Ziroli Spirit of St. Louis Plan
One of the most famous airplanes in history, the "Spirit" was flown by Charles Lindbergh on the world's first Trans-Atlantic solo flight. The detailed plan set consists of four large sheets which clearly illustrate all structure as well as the unique wing strut and landing gear installation. The wing is designed as a two piece assembly to ease transport.
The Spirit of St. Louis plan is 1/4th scale and consists of 4 large sheets that clearly show all of the structure of the aircraft. THere are many online builing threads for this model on threads at www.rcgroups.com forums and rcscalebuilder.com forums. The plans have a seperate instruction guide and building notes on the plans. If you choose gear and engines that are not shows on the plans you should have them on hand when you start construction to make and changes needed for mounting. Nick Ziroli recommends covering the model with 1oz fibreglass cloth and ZAP Z-poxy finishing resin and elevator and rudder with cloth covering suzh as solartex. HOLK RC also can obtain all accessories needed to complete this model.
